Gavin Clarke

Gavin Clarke has had a varied career trying nearly everything from landscape gardening to a running highly successful car modifying business (where his client’s cars often graced the front cover of Max Power).

After dreaming about it for years, Gavin finally decided to focus all his creative talents into tattooing (becoming “the oldest apprentice in town”). In 2012 Gavin opened Obsession Tattoo Studio (so named by his wife Sonia, having spent seemingly endless days and nights listening to him talk about artists, ink, needles and so on). Gavin loves portraiture and realism, but enjoys tattooing all styles especially oriental, religious work and thrives on the challenge of cover ups. He gets a buzz from seeing the client’s face light up when they see their new piece of art.

As well Obsession Tattoo Studio Gavin is also the owner of Obsession Auto Styling who specialise in all types of vehicle modifications.

🎶 Happy 7th Birthday to us 🎶 7 years ago I had to take the plunge and open Obsession Tattoo Studio, we started with just me and Sonia in a small studio across the road from where we are now and are now well and truly settled where we are. In those 7 years that have been a lot of changes, apprentices coming and going, new artists coming in, and I have to say through the 7 years it has been quite smooth with no major hiccups. This is down to the great staff we have here (Karl Bennison and Lee Dalton) and also to our awesome customers, some of whom have literally been coming here since day 1 (ain't that right Kevin Constance). So thank you everyone and here's to keeping going and seeing what the next 7 years brings. 🥂Cheers🥂 #tattoo #ipswichtattoo #tattoostudio #obsession #obsessiontattoos #obsessiontattoostudio #birthday #happybirthday #ink #ipswich
